The first class is all about going on our mission. This will contain a lot of information about the US and UK acting industry, how casting is being conducted, how film and TV is financed, a brief overview of agents and managers, how TV and Streaming platforms are structuring our industry - How does Pilot season work? When and how can an actor get seen for an audition? This is an important class and an overview for everything we are going to uncover throughout these 12 weeks.

We then delve into acting and casting for TV and Streaming to understand the differences between Cable TV, Paid Cable, Network TV and Streaming services. We look at how the style of shooting changes not only the structure of the storytelling, but also the acting, and most importantly, the Casting process. This is a class rich with information, get ready to learn a lot of new skills about the TV Market. We also explore different genres, Single-cam, Multi-cam and Sitcom styles, as well as One-Hour and Half-hour shows. ​

This class is all about YOU as we prepare for the most crucial chapter of this course: discovering how you already fit into the industry. We will explore the research project and delve deeply into casting abilities. We will cover both masculine and feminine energy, as well as the four primary trauma responses that actors need to understand to best analyze their roles and types.

This is a skill audit: What do you already bring to the industry? What are your limiting beliefs, thoughts on rejection, and views on self-worth? Can we pinpoint your long-term and short-term goals?

The moment has come to explore various audition techniques. This class focuses on in-person auditions, self-tapes, and Zoom auditions.

We will conduct a mock audition with a cold read and introduce the self-tape project for marketing.
